Hello Beautiful
This week I've been given a brand new project brief, which is all about Breast Cancer.
I've found it hard to research, as it is a very sensitive topic, but the charity I am doing it for aims to highlight the beauty that can be found within the struggle.
I have a few ideas, but today I think I'm going to play around with the observational drawings I've carried out so far.
OH AND ALSO SOMEONES PIECE IN OUR CLASS WILL GET CHOSEN TO BE SCREEN PRINTED AND PUT IN THE HELLO BEAUTIFUL EXHIBITION IN LONDON... this excites me so much.
Do check out Hello Beautiful - really great cause.

Photoshopping with...er... more cats and inhalers
Spent the day on photoshop again, playing around with my cat/asthma work I've been doing.
Taught myself a few new tricks on t'old Photoshop, I think we might be friends now.
David Wilson
Absolutely mesmerised by the films David Wilson has created.
He's directed videos for loads of bands including Arctic Monkeys, The Maccabees, Tame Impala and Metronomy.
I've seen most of these videos before, just never noticed the link between them... but it's obvious now!
Incredible animations, I'm really intrigued by the transitions from one image to another.
I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DO THIS!

Inhaler!
Drawings of my inhaler...
A potential theme of my make your mark project is my asthma.
The thought only came to me yesterday but taking my inhaler 2x and more every day is such a normal thing to me that I just didn't think of it.
But illustration-wise there is so much I could explore with it.

PRISM 15
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to volunteer for PRISM this weekend.
The event gives artists and performers the opportunity to present their work in unusual venues across Sheffield, and Friday's event took place in the old Post Office at Castle House.
Before arriving I couldn't imagine how that'd work, but it did. It may have been absolutely freezing, but it was really nice to meet so many people and see such a variety of work. It was different to any exhibition I've ever been to, and I look forward to being involved again in the future.
